Outdoor plants at GroenRijk shopper activation

The shopper activation for outdoor plants at GroenRijk garden centres in the Netherlands started on 7 September. This promotion will run until 29 September in all GroenRijk stores, and has been organised by the outdoor plant growers at Royal FloraHolland, GroenRijk and the Flower Council of Holland.

With this shopper activation we are encouraging consumers to buy more outdoor plants in September to inspire consumers to carry on enjoying their outdoor spaces for longer. Every GroenRijk store has a patio heater worth €249 to be won by customers who spend €20 on outdoor plants through a prize draw.  We are seeking to increase the amount that consumers spend on outdoor plants with this time-limited competition.

Media use
​We are directing consumers to the GroenRijk garden centres using online advertisements from both Mooiwatplantendoen.nl and GroenRijk.nl. Local (online) media around the GroenRijk stores will also be used. GroenRijk.nl is also communicating this promotion on their online channels: their weekly special offers on its website, and social media to drive people to their stores. In store, a promotional pack will provide in-store communication about the prize draw alongside the patio heater. The stores are listed at Mooiwatplantendoen.nl/winactiegroenrijk. Subscribers to Mooiwatplantendoen.nl will also have received a newsletter about this promotion.
