Green Mayor Dio launched greening project

From grey to green

Dio, the Green Mayor for Amsterdam is committed to bringing more greenery to grey streets working with our Dutch consumer brand Mooiwatplantendoen.nl. His greening project recently launched in the Orteliusstraat in Amsterdam-West. The project took place as part of the From Grey to Green campaign.

Positive energy
“Parts of this street are too grey and that has to change. Bringing greenery to the street creates positive energy and connects local residents with the different cultures in the neighbourhood. And that is exactly what I want to achieve”, says Dio. “I can tell from the enthusiastic response that the street is really looking forward to it. Hopefully, it will inspire other neighbourhoods and cities to add more greenery to their streets too.”
